Democrat Chris Greogoire has helped make the state of Washington one of the best states to do business, work, and live.

Best Business Climate: 

Forbes magazine ranked Washington among the three best states for business in part because of Democratic Governor Gregoire’s work. 
•    220,000 new jobs were created under Gregoire’s leadership, such as new apprenticeships in the Spokane aerospace industry.
•    Exports of Washington products (including agricultural) have increased by 100%. 

Dino Rossi’s Questionable Business Past (from 2004 and 2008)

Remember this when Dino Rossi ran for Governor in 2004 and 2008? Much of Dino Rossi’s business experience has been in real-estate working underneath one man, Melvin Heide of Capretto & Clark, convicted of defrauding investors.  Rossi made a small fortune, and some of it was indirectly at the expense of small investors who lost their life savings.  "The people who got hurt were little old ladies . . . Schoolteachers who put in their life savings,” said Stuart Looney, past vice president of Capretto & Clark (Seattle Times, 9/29/04). Are we accusing Republican Dino Rossi of illegality?
