·      Ensure a safe, private polling place, and an option of voting by mail.

How does one decide for whom to vote for judge?  You could try to guess the party leanings of judicial candidates.   However, if voters screen for political orientation, we will get a court system that is just as partisan as congress.  Most people agree that judges should strive to be fair, objective, knowledgeable interpreters of the law—not political operatives.
