Democratic Gov. Chris Gregoire for re-election in 2008

Gov. Chris Gregoire for re-election

Democrat Chris Greogoire has helped make the state of Washington one of the best states to do business, work, and live.

Best Business Climate:

Forbes magazine ranked Washington among the three best states for business in part because of Democratic Governor Gregoire’s work.
•    220,000 new jobs were created under Gregoire’s leadership, such as new apprenticeships in the Spokane aerospace industry.
•    Exports of Washington products (including agricultural) have increased by 100%.

Less Crime:
Crime rates are the lowest in 14 years, and six law enforcement associations have endorsed Gregoire because of it.

Improved Transportation Infrastructure:

Through Gregoire’s leadership 20 new road and rail projects have been completed in eastern Washington.  Another 25 are under way including . . .
•    Additional lanes on SR 270 between Pullman and Idaho border.
•    The north Spokane Corridor (www.wsdot.wa.gov/projects).

Safety, healthcare and education for children:

She expanded health insurance to 84,000 children, reduced class sizes and increased teacher pay, and cracked down on sex offenders who prey on our children.

Best Managed State by Gregoire:

Gov. Chris Gregoire turned a $2.2 billion deficit a surplus, and we were rated as the third best-managed state by Pew Center on the States.

"I think she's a good manager and that she's doing a good job of running the state" says Republican Minority Leader Richard DeBolt

Paid for by Eastern Washington Voters, 605 NW Fisk, #9b, Pullman, Wa 99163—an in-kind contribution to People for Chris Gregoire.
